Intelli-Flo Treatment Pads:

These revolutionary pads offer hassle-free temperature regulation for each treatment area, allowing consistent cold delivery. The ergonomic design provides exceptional coverage, static compression, and patient comfort. Intelli-Flo Pads are compatible with Polar Care Kodiak only. Note: Breg recommends applying an insulation barrier between the Intelli-Flo Pads and the patient's skin.

Patient Instructions

Using the Breg Polar Therapy System

Use cubed or chunked ice for optimal performance.
It is recommended that the Cold Therapy Pad Be Drained between uses. To do so, hold the Pad upright with the hose pointed toward the ground. Depress the black plunger and allow water to drain out of the pad.
You may disconnect the Cold Therapy Pad from the unit without removing the pad from the affected area by depressing the silver tabs on the hose coupling and gently pulling the hoses apart. The Breg Polar Care Cold Therapy Pad and unit will seal itself and not leak.
Note: Some dripping during release is expected.
DO NOT RUN THE PUMP WITHOUT WATER! This unit's pump is designed to run with water, and running it without water will cause permanent damage to the pump.
Unplug the unit before removing the lid.

Cleaning your Polar Care Unit

After use, empty and dry the unit with a soft cloth.
Use warm water and mild detergent occasionally to clean the pump and tubes.

Warnings

Polar Care Kodiak can be cold enough to cause serious injury, including full skin necrosis.
Follow the Operating Instructions and carefully read the Product Insert (see pouch on the side of the unit) and the Intelli-Flo Pad Fitting Instructions (provided with each Cold Therapy Pad) before use.

Works great!! Easy to use. Has helped with knee pain after a replacement, and has definitely helped with the swelling.

The best way to ice post-surgery

This little guy is amazing. My wife had a knee replacement, and we have been using this nearly non-stop for two weeks and counting. A couple of things- it holds four regular water bottles or six of the shorties. We keep them in the freezer and can rotate them through. She doesn't sleep with it on, so I only need two sets. The first runs from when she gets up to around 2-3pm, then I swap in the next set for the afternoon and evening. There is always ice left in the bottles, and the water is kept cold. she is supposed to be on ice for 30 minutes, and off for 30 minutes. The water in the pad warms quickly when the pump is off, so she just unplugs it when she is "off" the ice, then plugs it back in when she is on. An on/off switch would be a great addition, Breg!

Excellent cold therapy device.

This therapy device has made recovering from knee replacement surgery much easier. Also the customer service at SourceColdTherapy is excellent.

Seriously, these are the best things ever invented for ice therapy. Thanks be. I used the knee cuff after knee surgery and now am using the hip/back/rib cuff. This new cooler with the motorized pressure pulsing is even better than the other one. It gently increases the pressure of the ice water surrounding the injury for a minute or so, then releases and repeats. It reduces pain and swelling. I’m thrilled that I got this.
