VPULSE improves patient outcomes, reduces the total cost of the orthopedic episode, and increases patient satisfaction to deliver more time well spent. This evidence-based approach enables the provider to diagnose and start treatment quickly, resulting in better outcomes and improved patient experience. The combination of speed, quality, and accuracy provided by VPULSE offers a unique patient care experience. This innovative system provides optimal outcomes while maximizing patient satisfaction and delivering economic value.

VPULSE helps patients ACHIEVE COMPLETE, COMFORTABLE RECOVERIES through the DELIVERY OF THREE DISTINCT THERAPIES:

  • Rapid impulse calf compression to help prevent Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
  • Motorized cold therapy to help reduce operative site discomfort and inflammation
  • Wound compression to further help reduce operative site inflammation

Product Features*

Lowers Risk of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE): VPULSE lowers the incidence of VTE after major orthopedic surgery compared to pharmacological prophylaxis. VTE is the leading factor for hospital readmission following major orthopedic surgery and the most common preventable cause of hospital death.

Provides Possible Alternative to Anticoagulants: VPULSE offers physicians another option to help tailor preventative care to patient risk and provides an alternative for patients contraindicated for anticoagulants.

Provides Convenient Home Therapy: VPULSE offers a solution for patients to take home and keep as hospital stays become shorter. This allows facilities to provide mechanical DVT prophylaxis to patients for 2-3 weeks when they need it most, without the inconvenience of renting or servicing equipment.

Improves Patient Experience: Combining three therapies into one convenient device optimizes patient comfort during recovery. With motorized cold therapy and accompanying water bottles, patients avoid the hassle of frequently switching out ice cubes or gel packs.

Improves Compliance: The added comfort of cold and compression therapies may increase patient compliance compared to DVT prophylaxis alone. A removable data card records patient compliance to enable physician monitoring.

Lowers Total Cost: Bundled payment of care initiatives are driving single payment for an orthopedic episode within 30 days of surgery, including costly DVT readmissions. By reducing DVT-related expenses and potentially reducing costs for anticoagulant regimes or compression device rental programs, VPULSE helps reduce the total cost of the episode.

Great choice

I had knee replacement surgery & the surgeon recommended an ice machine. The Breg Vpulse was easy to put together & worked great. Much easier than using ice packs & the compression function works beautifully.

Quality machine

The Vpulse is a great machine. I like the compression on my knee as well as calves. It is pretty quiet also. Also sourcecoldtherapy had a great price and came quickly. Very happy. This is my second knee replacement, last one one year ago, I used a different machine. This year I started out with the Vpulse and do not have much pain at all. Don’t know if it is the machine I do not know but I know the pain I had last time and this time nowhere near the pain of a year ago..

A must have Product!

This is the best way to rehab a knee replacement, I would highly recommend it to anyone. I would say it cuts the healing time in half. Thank you.
